The European Commission aims at fostering the participation of women entrepreneurs in the European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 and especially in its flagship programme – the SME instrument. The SME instrument is targeted especially at highly innovative and technologically-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises.

The international project consortium EMPOWA invites you to take part in a BarCamp in Brussels on September 18  to discuss experiences, ideas and future options to support women entrepreneurs. Representatives of organisations and associations from business, science and society with the goal of gender equality will be joined by staff from the EU Commission and other European institutions.

Venue is the representation of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia to the European Union, Rue Montoyer 47, 1000 Brussels, 9:00 a.m – 3:30 p.m.

A BarCamp is an open event format with no predefined topics. Participants are welcome to suggest topics which will be taken up in parallel sessions.
